Why This Record Matters
The Pacific Age was OMD's final studio album of the original era and features the international hit "(Forever) Live And Die." The album combines polished synth-pop production with the melodic songwriting that made the group one of the defining acts of the new wave movement. Original US pressings remain popular with collectors of 1980s electronic and alternative music.

Collector Note
1986 US Electrosound Group Midwest pressing identified by the EMW and ES runout markings and plant code "B" on the labels. Pressed on translucent Quiex II vinyl and includes the original color picture inner sleeve. Quiex II pressings are especially desirable among collectors for their quieter vinyl formulation.
